Am I Done Yet and amidoneyet.app · Nate-Land Studios LLC · Last updated October 3, 2026

The short version: Am I Done Yet doesn’t collect anything about you or your child. There’s no account, and everything your family puts into the app stays on your phone.

Who we are

Am I Done Yet (the app) and amidoneyet.app (this website) are made by Nate-Land Studios LLC. If you have a question about this policy, ask through our help form or email support@amidoneyet.app.

The app

  • No account. There’s nothing to sign up for and no login. The app never asks for an email address, birthday or phone number.
  • Your child’s name. When you start, the app asks for the name your child goes by (a first name is enough). It uses the name only on screen and when it reads aloud, and keeps it on the phone.
  • Nothing is collected. The app doesn’t send us anything, and it doesn’t talk to any server of ours or anyone else’s.
  • Everything stays on the phone. The photos, your child’s words, the lists of what done means, and your calls are kept in the app’s own storage on your phone. They aren’t sent to us or anyone else, and they’re left out of iCloud backups. When your child has learned a task and the app stops asking about it, the app deletes that task’s photos (the last check photo goes once you’ve looked at it together). Free up space in Settings deletes older photos whenever you like. Deleting the app deletes everything.
  • Camera, microphone and speech recognition. The camera is used only when someone takes a photo in the app. The microphone and speech recognition are used only while your child says what they did: the words are turned into text on the phone, nothing is recorded, and only the text is kept, on the phone.
  • The app’s second opinion. A photo model built into the app compares a check photo with your family’s own photos of done. It runs on the phone. No photo is uploaded to do it.
  • Help with wording. On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, the app uses Apple’s on-device model to help with wording. That model runs on the phone, and the app sends nothing anywhere to use it. On other phones the app uses its own written wording.
  • No analytics, ads or tracking. The app contains no analytics, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting code, and no third-party SDKs that collect data. It doesn’t track you across apps or websites.

A planned change: a one-time model download

A future version may download one model file the first time it’s needed, because the file is too large to ship inside the app. That version isn’t built yet. When it is, the download will fetch the file and nothing else: nothing about your family will be sent with it, and the app will check the file before using it. Like any download, the server that delivers the file will see the request. We’ll update this page, including the date at the top, before that version reaches anyone.

While the app is in testing

Am I Done Yet is in family testing and is shared through Apple’s TestFlight. If a tester chooses to send feedback or a screenshot through TestFlight, or has chosen in their phone’s settings to share diagnostics, Apple may pass that on to us. Those reports come from TestFlight and iOS, not from the app, and we use them only to fix problems.

Children

Am I Done Yet is made for children and the grown-ups who look after them. We don’t collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Photos of your child and what your child says stay on your phone, where you can see them and delete them. We never receive them, so there’s nothing for us to hand back or delete.

This website

  • No cookies. amidoneyet.app sets no cookies and runs no scripts, analytics or tracking.
  • No third parties. Fonts and images are served from this site, not from other companies’ servers.
  • Hosting. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which, like any web host, handles visitors’ IP addresses to deliver pages and protect against attacks. We don’t use that data to identify or track visitors.

If you ask us for help

If you write to us, through the help form or by email, we use your name, your email address and what you send only to read it and reply. Nathan, who makes the app, reads every message himself. It’s kept in our own work tracker and never shared or sold, and we’ll delete it if you ask.

The help form is hosted by Fibery, the work tracker we use, so filling it in sends what you type straight to Fibery’s servers. Nothing from Fibery loads on this website until you open the form. Please don’t send photos of your child.

If you ask to hear more

If you ask to hear more about the app, the form collects your name, your email address and, if you add one, a short note. It’s hosted by Fibery, the same work tracker as the help form, so what you type goes straight to Fibery’s servers. Nathan, who makes the app, reads every one. We use your address only to write to you about Am I Done Yet when there’s something you can try. It isn’t added to a mailing-list service, and it’s never shared or sold. Ask us to delete it and we will. Please don’t send photos of your child.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes what it does with information, we’ll update this page before that version ships and change the date at the top.
